X-T1 + XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR @ 20.6mm, ISO 200, 1/210, f/5.6. At 655 grams, the XF 16-55mm f/2.8 is a heavy lens. When mounted on the Fuji X-T1 camera body, it certainly makes the setup quite front-heavy. To balance the lens a little better, I mounted the VG-XT1 battery grip on the X-T1. It certainly did make a difference, but it made it feel

Back in 2018 I needed a slight telephoto lens. This was when I started photographing MMA fights from ringside for Cage Warriors and BAMMA. It was just mere months before the Fujifilm 50mm f2 was available and the Fujifilm 50-140mm f2.8 or the 16-55mm f2.8 didn’t come into question at the time because of the f-stop.

Fuji X-T2 with XF60mmF2.4 R Macro, ISO 1000, Focal length 60mm, Aperture f/2.8, Shutter 1/125 Pricing For some, the XF100-400 is an elusive lens largely because of the unpalatable price, for others, it may just be elusive because Fujifilm picked the longest name in history, and people can't remember what it is when they go to camera stores. It also provides a shallow depth of field, allowing you to blur the background to focus attention on the subject. Has rounded aperture blades. Fujifilm XF 16mm f/2.8 R WR. Fujifilm XF 23mm F2 R WR. Similar to the number of aperture blades, rounded blades affect the way the light gets through to the sensor.
The focal length of 35mm means this lens is roughly equivalent to a 53mm lens on a full frame camera, so it’s a whisker longer than the classic ‘nifty fifty’ but not by enough to notice. Fujifilm’s other f/2 lenses include a 23mm f/2 (35mm equivalent) and a 50mm f/2 (75mm equivalent), both barely larger than this one and about the same
Digital Camera World Verdict. Refined handling characteristics and a robust, weather-sealed metal build make this lens an attractive proposition for Fujifilm’s APS-C format X-mount mirrorless cameras. The crop factor results in an ‘effective’ focal length of 76mm, ideal for portraiture and still-life photography in which the f/2 aperture The XF 50mm f/2 might actually be sharper, but that's irrelevant to a portrait. There is no doubt the Sigma 56mm has a smoother bokeh and fall-off, so it's the better portrait lens. Even at an equivalent aperture. The XF 50mm is not meant to be a portrait lens--that's why the XF 56mm f/1.2 exists. The XF 50mm will focus faster, since it's F2qd.
